Can somebody tell my why Honda air conditioners fukking suck when the car is not moving!??!!? Is there anything to do about this?

 

It's probably because you have your AC set to "fresh" instead of "recirculation". When it's on fresh more air gets blown through when you drive and it seems like it's stronger and then when you stop it goes back to normal. Keep it on recirculation and it will keep a constant amount of air coming out of the vents regardless of how fast you drive. Just my .02.

 

i think he means why does it not get so cold at a stop... i have this same problem but i think its pretty normal.

 

exactly...it blows colder when the car is moving. i have 3 friends w/ accords-all diff gen & theirs does it too :wtf:

 

all i can say is... my parents 2001 Camry does not do this..... but maybe its more normal on a little 4cyl car?

 

Just be glad you don't drive an old Civic CVCC..... the original '75s (if they had the optional dealer installed A/C) would disengage the compressor clutch at idle to save gas...... that's right, when you're at a red light, you have no air. I know someone who had one. He got smart, though. At a long stop, he'd keep just enough gas on it to keep the A/C going.

 

nope. i had a chevy shitalier...err, i mean cavalier & it blew cold air all the time. i think it's a honda thing :wtf:

 

the problem is the rpm is low when the car stop, higher the rpm and the ac pump will run faster that makes the ac is cooler when is running.
