not a real problem but you will need some additional parts like pedals for one, among others and there will prolly be about an extra 600-1000 bucks of labor cost additionally....
if you get the car cheap it prolly is worth it....

yea exactly it was my dumbass friend so im guessing it was a big ass puddle cause his motors locked up... today he said he would probally sell it to me for 1k ... what extra is there to do in the auto/manual conversion if the new motor already has a man. transmission
dunno, i just started playing with the accord since i only recently acquired it. . . I know it can be a ***** on honda-acura cars in general though. The dash will likely be different and need new panels and the computer that controls everything will likely be different as well. Most times this subject is brought up, people say its just cheaper to buy another car. This may be the exception though, if you can talk a competent mechanic into doing it cheaply, perhaps cheaper if you can lend him your pair of hands as extras, this might be well worth it. =)
Ask TJCCARCO, he did a auto to man. conversion and in his posts, it seems like he is having ALOT of problems. Its not like you can just pop out the auto and stuff the manual in. You gotta have all the right cables, somewhere to put the pedel, not to mention a clutch wheel and all sorts of new **** like that.
I don't know if it's any different on the Accords, but my brother did an auto to manual when he did his swap. It really wasn't all that difficult. Then again, he did pay someone to do the engine and tranny swap. All you really need is the pedal assembley, a new clutch/flywheel, and the cable. The guy that did the swap said that he didn't have to cut anything, the hardest part about the transmission swap is making sure you have the gears right. The reverse and park are tricky when it comes to wiring. If you don't wire the park right, the car won't start. There's a problem with reverse. I can't remember what it is. This is all I can really remember. Sorry I'm not much help
I had an auto-manual swap done with my swap. It cost me $400 extra in labor and $600 in parts. A good shop can do the work without any problems. None of the gauges or console pieces need to be changed. The hardest parts are the bracket for the clutch pedal and drilling the whole for the slave cylinder.
