wtf is this thing?
ok, i was installing my CAI the other day in my 4th gen, and I noticed for the first time this little black box that is attached to the body directly to the left of the battery (that is left standing in front of the car looking toward the back). This black box has a tube going from the box to the throttle body intake, it has an electrical connection, and it has this little arm thing that was in the stock intake piping...it looked like this arm controlled some sort of flap in the stock piping. what does this box do and is it going to hurt anything just leaving that little arm out in the open since i took the stock intake plumbing out? I've noticed that my car is running a little different since i've installed the CAI like changing gears kinda funny, not wanting to downshift like it should, and it kinda jumps every now and then before changing gears. I just had the tranny rebuilt so i know thats not the problem. I'm wondering exactly what this box thing does and if that could be the cause of my problem...
