It sounds to me like someone wants to be felt sorry for. No sympathy from me. If one can't figure out how to get a job and make payments to save one's car from going back to the bank and thereby saving one's credit, then I have no sympathy.

Hell, go refinance the car for 60 months. If you only have 5k left, I know BECU will finance you for 60 months, and your payments will be 100 bucks a month. Just by selling the greddy evo, and AEM CAI, you can have a payment for 5 months. Your dad can get a new job in 5 months. Plus he'll most likely be collecting unemployment. I go to college 6 hours a day, and still work 30+ hours a week. I dont have to, but I like the extra money. You can at least get a weekend job and make 100 bucks sat. and sunday. Something sounds fishy with your story...

Well, you still don't have to leave HAN, but like the guys above said you should be able to hold off on getting rid of the car right away by either selling it, getting a job, or hold off on a payment or two (either way your credit is fawked) and pay for it when you can. Unless your finances are in a terrible way to begin with.

good luck

i went to college full-time and worked part time. i also got into a co-op program too which helped pay my car off. sounds like someone who has been sheltered from mom and dad too long and needs to learn how the real world is. sounds like a wake up call to me. it may suck now, but he will learn valuable life lessons from this.

So what? So do I and I have a job and work just about every day. The job that I had when I went to SUNY Oswego allowed me to purchase my own RSX Type-S, but when I transferred schools I lost the job and thus the car. My new job doesn't pay nearly as well, but it pays. I have no sympathy for lazy people.
