Accord V6 vs. CL Type S engine differences
Well I now have a Accord V6 6 speed and I know quite a bit about Integras and such, but I don't know jack about the J30s. I'm assuming the CL Type S is the J35. Besides the displacement what has been changed. Can anything more over. I have heard of people using the Type S throttle body on the J30a.

You can move the head on the J30A4 and I suppose the throttle body, but why? For all the money you'd spend, you wouldn't get much gain. It'd be much more economical to get a Comptech header when it comes out for your 20 missing horsepower.

no headers on j30a4, they are pretty much built into the head. Honda has done a lot to the exhuast on the engine. The missing 20 hp prolly comes from the less displacement.

on the head the exhaust ports(3) are all molded into one opening that goes into a downpipe. The thing that might help this car is if someone could design a downpipe without the catalysts and have them then go into one large hi flow catalytic converter, that is where I see the biggest power gains coming from in the 7th gen v6. Also the cat back has like 3 silencers and pretty restrictive mufflers so changing these would also help get some power.
