well i dont see how a little tiny dull light can distract anymore than oncoming traffic, LED gauges, radio/hvac controls etc...

They arent very bright at all... look at the lit power window buttons, they arent distracting to look at. MANY cars have this feature, and they arent noted for being distracting. Its not like having lit steering wheel controls would be an Accord Only feature, its a common feature, and its just something honda doesnt spend money on.

 

I had that feature on my 325I and believed me it's not distracting at all.

Are power windows that go down with a touch of a button, necessary?There are many things on cars that arent Necessary, that doesnt make them bad. Look dumb? please..... what other excuses can u come up with?

Its just like power window controls that light up.. No, they aren necessary, but many cars have them, and they dont look dumb.

I dont really care what you or anyone else thinks of lit steering wheel buttons, all im saying is, there would be no harm in making them light up. period.

 

I love auto up/down windows. I installed them on my car with a kit. I wish Honda offered them in all their cars.

Steering wheel controls do not need to be lighted. Just like window switches dont. I would rather they not be lit. They saved 2 bucks and it woulda been a 2 dollars wasted. Samsy.

Good reply a good design should have all the features and we won't have to pay extra for little things and the key words is convenience.

 

none of the buttons on the steering wheel lack well-lit counterparts elsewhere on the dash and console...if you can't remember which of the 6 buttons on the steering wheel does what you want, look around...the alternate buttons/knobs aren't too far away...though the steering wheel buttons are definitely the most convenient.

i like accent lighting personally...i think it would look nice. everyone had their own opinion obviously, some find it annoying, some find it useful, some find it just looks nice but not necessary, some don't even know what the steering wheel buttons do in the first place (nobody on this forum, of course)
