well is the SRS airbag control unit the same between 94-95 and 96-97? i was under the impression that the control unit may have been different, hence the diff wiring. Thus if reviewing exactly what is diff, maybe finding out how to swap over what is needed?

Probably the only difference would be the SRS reel behind the wheel.

Maybe in 1996 when Honda changed to OBD-2 they decided to change the style of connectors or pin outs in the connector.

SRS wiring isn't to complicated just has to be done with the battery disconnected.

Are the steering columns between the 94-95 and 96-97 different? If they are that could be the difference in the way the reel sits in the column. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do some more research. Would be pretty cool to have an S2K wheel with a functioning airbag.

If after you wire it all up and turn the car on if the SRS light doesn't remain on, you know it's working

the only thing i'd worry about is the different airbags are designed for different cars... a 6th gen airbag is specifically designed for the car its going into... so i'd imagine there'd be problems if the airbag ever deployed... like it may hit the rearview mirror... the window (side or windshield) ...meaning it probably wont be able to deploy properly.

Oh well, its just a thought. I dont wanna screw with my airbag at all I guess... theres a specific one there for a reason.

well i know some parts on the steering column behind the steering wheel are different because i bought new upper and lower steering column covers off a 96-97, and i had to cut away some plastic for it to fit with my wheel.....
