Default Cheap Tires . . .

I am looking for new tires and I need some suggestions. First off I want some cheap ones. I am not looking to spend $500. I found some W rated on eBay for $228 (4 tires). I don't think there is, but do you know of any that are cheaper anywhere. I think that is a great deal considering I spent $88 each on my Kumhos.

I am looking for size 215-45/17. Is this a good size on a 5th gen Accord?

215/45R-17 should work fine. All I can recommend is that tires is not an area where you'd want to skimp in. Just save your money and get a good set of "running shoes," it'll pay off.

A good 'cheap' performance tire I can recommend is the Parada Spec-2's.

alot of people swear by the kumho tires those are suppose to be real inexpensive but worth while since you had them you know already. besides those its about 90-130 dollars for most preformance tires depending where u get them. my nittos/faulkens cost me like 120 a piece when i get them in the stores around my way and like 90-100 online

Yeh, I do love my Kumhos. I have 712s. I had Bridgestone Potenza 920s on my stock wheels before I got 17s. They were more than the Kumhos, but the 712s ride better than they did even in the smaller sidewall. I was very surprised.

honestly i love my nittos but they warp easy w/ the faulkens i'm much happier the wet traction still sucks but if i want really good wet traction i need to spend close to $200 a tire, no thanks. my opinion being that you've had the kumhos b4 just stick with them especially in the size you want. 215/45/17 is a standard size for most people who have 17" rims on their accords

i would rather buy dunlop fm901s or yokohama avs es100s before i buy kumho 712s. they are not sticky at all, unless all you want is long tread wear in exchange for less grip.

tirerack is having a deal on the 712s currently but normally it's about $10 per tire more for the yoks and less on the 901s. the ratings are on tirerack are good for the kumhos, but talk to anyone who actually autocrosses or drag races with them. they suck, what do they expect it has a 340 tread rating which means hard rubber compound. the 901s are 200 and the yoks are 280.
