smoke the bottom strip in my tail lights from clear/white to that darker color.

yeah, you could do that no problem. You could make them black if you really wanted to. . . Get yourself some black tint paint for models and some clear coat and go to town . . .

oh aight well you have to bake your tails in the oven or use a heat gun. the tint part is either hobby spray paint or a really small piece of window tint. others can explain it better but i've seen threads on it b4. a quick search here on "clearing tail lights" or something along that line will yeild threads on it

thats what i was thinking, however i dont want black, i just want to smoke them out, also im unsure of which part to paint, any ideas?

well i already cleared out the tail light, the amber is gone so its all clear across the bottom, so opening them and resealing isnt a problem.
