looking for better performance
that is true but like i posted if your going N/A then its not a waste
many of us dont choose one application ova another. many of us try one way and realize damn i want more than go another route (looking at the small picture). is that a waste of money? hmmm i'm not sure. starting out w/ boltons not even thinking of swaps and turbo chargers isnt a waste but down the line if you realize you want more at least you got something out of ur purchase. if you know the big picture first then your right, headers are a waste on our cars (well not all, cuz some can be cut and used as exhaust manifolds for your turbos. also some turbos still use headers)

you gotta realize many of us didnt get an accord to be a race car (if you did more power to you) we got it for whateva reasons. howeva honestly speaking if we (when i say we i can only speak for me truely) wanted a "RACE CAR" the honda accord would have been the last car on the list. for the same amount of money (and in some cases for even less) a faster car could be purchased and with little to no effort made into a "race car" for me the price of the new 6speed accord is more than a WRX would cost me. which is faster the WRX. for less money which would yeild a greater return (speed wise) the WRX. which looks more stylish "03 accord" you buy want you want at that moment. if you really want some power from a honda buy a civic and do a swap or get an NSX and turbo it. if you want a family grocery getter get an accord. if you want to get to that store faster get some bolt ons.
dj makes some good points, and is right. i dont want to trick it all out turn it all ricer and go to the drag and smoke peeps. if i wanted that i wouldnt have asked about intake and exhaust. id go straight for the turbo or nos kits.
but thats not what im about. im just looking for a little more.

ok.. so this is what i was thinking.
AEM or Injen CAI (not sure which yet)
DC header
GReddy EVO cat-back
i'll problaby throw on some 17" or 18" rims..
my friend mentioned a throttle body upgrade, whats your thoughts on that?

thats kinda similar to my setup, i have the AEM CAI and DC SS header. . . I have a 5zigen exhaust instead of the Greddy though.
I have a set of 17s on my ride, get a drop for it if you can, and MAKE SURE YOU GET CAMBER NO MATTER WHAT YOUR DROP IS. Lots of people will say you dont need camber for less than 2 inches or whatever. A drop will change your suspension geometry no matter how little it is.
As for the throttle body upgrade, you can get yours bored and have a bigger butterfly put in it. I am in the process of doing this mod along with a ported intake manifold, AEM fuel rail, and fuel pressure regulator.
Seems like you've got a good start on some solid ideas, just be careful about what you buy and you will be set.
