Default air struts, rims,?.

hey guys i have a 02 honda accord coupe and i want to drop it so i was thinking of getting air struts. do you think that is a good idea and will that effect my racing suspension or anything. also i have motegi mr7 18's and i was thinking abou getting konig tantrum 19's. The 18's weigh 28 lbs and the konig's weigh 27 so dont think that will affect my performance from switching from 18's.. even though both are heavy. also, i have a automatic, what do i have to do to change it to a 5 speed and with a 6 gen accord 5 sped. sorry s long guys.

My personal exsperiance with air-suspension sucked. Which is basically the same thing just useing air-struts instead of bags. It was horrible. Ruined my suspension. Wires all over. Kept going back and back. Ruined exhaust. Not safe. Bags kept on poping. Costed way overly priced. And the cheap blow-jax's. You get what you pay for heard from a guy who's friend had them. Which was bad. It is for show man. Drive it 2-3 times a week at max. Not a daily-driver thing man. 18's 17's 19's. All the same thing. Heavy. You wont feel a performance from switching to 1 pound lighter. Just get a nice suspension set up. Like Spings, and shocks, camber kit if needed. Or go get some nice coilovers. Dont waste you money on it.

a pound or so in that size and weight really wont matter. if we were talking less than stock weight but slightly bigger then it would be different. regardless it takes more to spin a larger wheel than it does a smaller one. on some cars up'ing the rim size helps from a preformance (well more of a launching) prespective but when ur talking rims above 20lbs its all negative anyway. my 17" rims are 20something pounds a piece and my stock 16's are 16.5lbs (95 ex rims) theres a huge difference in me swapping them back and forth from a preformance look
