Default Wheel refinishing?

Does anyone have any tips on alloy wheel refinishing? I just picked up a set of 93 wheels from a local junk yard for $25 and they are in need of some TLC. There are two that will just need a good cleaning and the other two have some peeling/pitting going on.

Thanks

buy some rim cleaner, a good sponge and some hard scrubbing and see what you get.

I tried that, I'm going to sand the rims and see how they turn out.

When a car hit one of mine and scratched it the shop sent it off to get it refinished for $125 bucks. Looks brand new, but might as well buy aftermarket wheels...

The car is just my daily driver so these rims will work just fine. I'm trying the sanding route and it seems to be working very well, just takes allot of time.

I'm using 600grit up to 1200 to finish the wheel. This isn't going to give me show quality wheels but might be worth a try for you also. I just noticed that your in Syracuse, I'm just down the road in Binghamton.
small world....later
