The Canadian model had this feature turn on can it be done with the U.S model ?

i know you can get daytime running light kits. it's an extra relay or 2 ... but the real question is why?!

DRL's with some insurance companies lower your insurance. I know my USAA plan does, just like having an alarm saves me a couple hundred every six months.

do canadian accords use the same bulbs as usdm accord for drl?

yes, 9005 and 9006, i believe the drl uses the 9006, but i could be wrong ill check,

Insurance companies only provide the discounts if the car is built with the equipment at the factory so they can verify it...... you think they just take your word for it? "Yeah, I have a 1978 Chevy Caprice with DRLs, coded security, dual airbags, and ABS. How much of a discount do I get?"

It's just a safety feature and has nothing to do with insurance.
