Don't worry, it just means that our systems are checking themselves and working as opposed to those without the noise ::eeeeek::

Same clunk in my 2003 V6 coupe. Spoke with Honda technician and it is the ABS system priming itself when the car is initially put from Park into a forward gear. Last for a second and there is no way to override this. Nothing is wrong with the car and it is no big deal. I beleive it is only on automatics.

Mine may do it, but Ive never heard it, even after listening for it after reading a few posts dealing with it. I just think it may be louder on some than others. Either way, if I hear it I wont freak.

Default Thank you

Thank you all for your postings. Got a 03 V6 LX. Makes the noise after backing out of driveway, putting it in drive and driving forward 10 to 15 feet. I wish Honda had this system prime itself in park... Would be less nerve racking. Have taken car to two seperate dealers three times... Notice that temperature has a lot to do with the loudness of the sound. Cold mornings it is very pronounced. Warm days I have to pay a lot of attention to hear it... So thanks for soothing my fears...

A~

Mine does it too.

Only after sitting for a while, and in drive, once I get to 1500 rpm's.

Always has, now I know why.

Thanks

Default Update

Dealer had problem. They "...couldn't get it to happen." When I went to pick it up yesterday I had the service person get in the car with me. Now they admit there is a noise. Problem is, they don't think it is ABS... Noise was comming from another part of the engine area. They think it is the vacuum that holds the engine to the motor mounts. I'm no car Einstien... I'm just Joe Smoe. I can change a tire and replace the battery, that's about it.
They removed the hose and I am to drive it for a couple of days to see if the noise continues. Didn't notice it this morning but had other things on my mind and wasn't paying very close attention. Will continue to post my updates until resolution.
