Brake Pad Q
Hey all. I think I need to change my brake pads (let alone the whole brake system, but no money) so I'm asking you guys and gals what kind of brake pads are really good. I've heard AEM aren't too bad, never heard reviews on EBC Greens, and Brembos are supposed to be good. Anyone care to share? Might be replacing them soon, so a prompt response would definitely help. Thanks!
beore I was going to go with the brembo slotted and EBC greenstuff. But my boy had those on his integra and he warped 2 sets of them. The EBC greens are to aggressive for the pad. he siad he is going to switch to brembo blanks and AEM pads. Maybe if a les aggresive pad for the slotted might work but he isn't going to chance it. make sure you get the stainless steel brake lines. Big difference. nex time use the search button before someone starts going off on you:thumbup:
Ok well I use Hawk HP+ pads. Put them on end of March, and they are still working pretty good. Does anyone know how long these performance pads are supposed to last? I know it depends on your braking style, but generally, not just for the Hawk's but AEM or EBC or any performance pad. How often do ya'll change the pads on your rides?
hey cool jones, how does your braking feel since you have the blanks, pads, and the brake lines?? Is it a big difference. I love to go fast but being able to stop is even better.
The braking is incredible, I feel like I can stop on a dime. I would do things like go up to an intersection @ 60 mph and hit the brakes just a few feet before and always stop in enough time. I feel like I have complete confidence in the brakes now, it hasn't faded @ all on me, and a new braking system combined with new tires, man you feel unstoppable.
ive been hearing that IS300 pads fit the 6th gen accords and they're pretty good....i just dont kno if thats true or not.
Id go with OEM brake pads. Im not much into brakes, so thats all i can say. With OEM, you know that they're going to last for a LOOONG time, and its just original, ya kno? but thats just my suggestion, because i dont plan on modding my brakes at all.

Looks like I'm gonna try some Brembo blanks and AEM brake pads. I'm gonna see how it is and all. Dunno about EBC Greens.... and I think next time I'll use Brembo brake pads. Thanks guys and gals.
