Take a hose, and than syphon out the gas. Not uncommon thing to do to people.

That Sparco gas cap is a locking one. They offer it in locking or non locking, so I opted to get the locking one. There arent too many gas doors on the market that fit the Accord stock door. I didnt fine one at all. I could have put this one there and filled in the lines but I wanted it different.

oh there are a few that fit u might ahve to cut the frame a little around the door opening but its still better than have to reroute and do other work when all u need to do is cut around the door frame but to each their own.

cutting thr frame around the original gas door is not as "work free" as you think. First of all the original door is plastic so it would have to be removed and a metalt plate welded into its place. then the hole cut and the frame reworked. Its just as easy and more of a custom job the way I did mione. But like you say "to each his own" I just wanted mine different than what may be what you call the "easy and simple route".

so what are you gonna do to the old one, shave it up with Bondo or sheet metals? Well, honestly this one look nice and it help save you from those a**h*** that try to put sand or sugar in your tank. But somehow, it just not my style. I'll find an alternative.
