Default throttle cable binds

Recently I have found that my throttle cable linkage is a little stiff after the car has sat for awhile. It loosens with one firm press on the accelerator. Is there a way to adjust/lube this cable. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. 1998 Honda Accord LX 4CYL.

Check that it's really the cable vs. the throttle body itself. Unhook the cable & lube the cable.

Otherwise, remove the throttle body & clean it. Particularly where the throttle plate closes almost against the wall of the throat. Maybe you can reach in there with a q-tip & TB cleaner without taking it off?
