I get a whistle...but the way he talks about fixing it would make your air/fuel run a little bit lean, wouldn't it? I just think it's a nice little sound that kinda sounds like a turbo. 4th gen by the way.

Im suprised that you people are telling him to adjust stuff cause of the sounds of his intake. His intake is making the normal sounds.
I have heard some intakes at idle and they sound like a turbo spooling. Some sound like a sucking noise constant
The sounds that your hearing are completly normal.
Maximas have bigger engines, they make a roaring sound (sounds great)
Eclipse, if it was turbo the intake dont make noise. I have a CAI on my car and it doesnt make any noise. It does make that whoosh/deep noise right when i hit the gas hard. but it only makes it right when i hit the gas.
Thunderbird's...... dont know what engine but its not going to sound anything like your I4.
All engines sound different

I ask because I've ridden in a Maxima, and Eclipse, and a Ford Thunderbird with aftermarket intakes and none of them made this whistle sound.

The whistle is normal, dont adjust anything. Its just the air flowing through the bigger, smoother, and more direct piping of the aftermarket intake.
The whistles, roar, and whoosh are the price you pay for removing the stock resonators, and quieter but more restrictive stock intake piping. So you get more power, but also more noise. Your dealer is absolutely right.

I didn't read all the other posts.
I've noticed lots of people getting the whistle with a K&N cone filter. I have a generic intake and have no whistle just short ram intake sounding goodness. My friends AEM short ram w/ K&N cone whistled a lot and sounded like a BOV when he shifted. So that's my deduction.
