6th gen V6 sluggish......
The car may just need a bit of maintenance.
Start cheap with fresh gas (switch brands like Shell), oil change, air filter, then throttle body cleaning, fresh tranny fluid my help, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, fuel filter....
the possibilities for the sluggishness are many and often lie somewhere in maintenance before they represent true engine trouble.

The car is due for an oil change in about 2K miles, so Ill wait that out.
Just put a full tank of 93 octane from another station today, will let that get in the system first to see what happens.
As far as throttle body cleaning: where can I get that seafoam stuff? I might just leave that to the dealer, provided they cover it under my extended warranty (its a long story, but I ended up with 5 yr bumper to bumper coverage
).

mines sluggish as hell thru first gear, but it feels like once it grabs second and the rpm's raise its just got this sudden boost of speed...maybe thats vtec... it could also be that our cars just got shitty auto trannys, but mine'll still squeal a tire and lay some meat, she'll even cut loose in the rain... and compared to my 5th gen ex its a hell of alot better

Hehe......I havent checked for animals in my engine just yet. Maybe today I can get enough time to remove the intake piping, maybe there really is something inside.
Hopefully the non-winterized 93 octane will help, but Im not very confident in that. Guess Honda will just have to take a look (any ideas if it could be the tranny? Its been fine since it got replaced 32K miles ago, and its still fine now........doesnt slip or anything, and shifts seem to be OK).
