If possible, can you help post the Wiring Diagram? Thanks, I've heard of the relay method, but this is new.
yes, the same as the brake/parking sockets... bring the lens right in the store with you and make sure you get a pair that fit the holes... you'll find a bunch of different ones at the store.

The trailer wirring adapter can be found at auto parts stores as well, or many places online like JCWhitney.

You'll get instructions with the adapter... follow those and use a test light to figure out the wire colors on the car. You'll be splicing the adapter in between the cars wirring and the bulbs. Dont worry, there is a replaceable harness at each light that unplugs easily, so you wont do any damage to the cars harness.

Wire the adapter to the proper color wires from the harness... then wire in the 2 sockets for the tail/brake/turn lights... for the other side of the car you'll need to run 2 wires from the adapter to the other tail light... these can be easily concealed under the trim piece on the bottom of the trunk edge... it just pops off.

If you follow the directions, and check the cars wirring with a test light (you may want a buddy around to hit the switches to make life a lil easier) you should be all set... its a pretty straight forward procedure.

Thanks, I'll give it a try this weekend may be next, It sounds better than the relays, and cheaper too. So you're saying that Pep-boy or Advance Autoparts carry those Trailer Wiring Adapter. I'd just walk in there and ask them for it, or is there specific model? Again, Thanks

just walk in, pocket it and walk out.

no, its a universal part... nothing special about it. If you have to explain it to someone there, its for wirring trailer lights to a car with seperate amber turn signals.

got it on my 94 coupe...i have all 4 circles as running lights. the brighter filament on the outer lights are my blinkers, and the brighter LEDs on the inner circles are my brake lights. this way both main brake lights come on as fast as the 3rd brake light in spoiler. i keep meaning to do the turn signals w/led as well...but i haven't gotten around to replacing the turn signal flasher relay with a non-notifying one so it doesn't blink really fast. LEDs use so little power the relay functions as if you had a bulb out.

oh...ground the green/white wire going into the brake sensor in the left side tailllight harness. no more "brake" indicator in the cluster w/LED tails.

btw sumaccordguy, does that gives off hyperblink. Which method you think is better, relay or your method? Thanks Also, as for the sockets, can I use that I cut off from the Parking/breaking of another junkyard 5th gen?

jfiedler - which method did you use, seem like a relay method right?

i took the sockets from the parking/brake lights on another 5th gen brake wiring harness and swapped them into the bases for my turn signal bulbs (now turn signal & parking light)

no relays needed...just tap the stock inner parking light with the wire from the new outer parking light. the factory wiring can handle the extra 10-15 watts the additional 2 parking lights will add. i don't know if this is the case if you were doing the brake (stopping) light wires though...that's a bigger wattage difference, and one i can't personally suggest as i have not tried it.

btw, if possible, can u tell me which wires go with what (for example, which wire to slice and hook on to the outer new socket, etc) If possible, can u help get a pic?, Thanks. I haven't look at the harness for a while. As for the wattage, I'm not too worry about that, a resistor can always help.

yes...all 4 circles are lit with parking lights on. inner ones are brakes...outer ones are turn signals.

i'll try to get wire colors and/or a pic for ya tomorrow when it's light out.

i doubt wattage is a problem...i just don't want to advocate something i haven't yet tried personally. i'm sure it will be fine, no resistors needed.
