Default Welding Radiator Support

I have all the parts I need to fix my Accord wagon front end. I am pretty sure i can do most of it myself (Fenders, bumper beam, bracket, lower valence, grille, headlights, etc.). The only thing I am not too sure about is welding the radiator support on. This is where it gets difficult. First, getting the old one off, then welding the new one on... Anyone ever attempted to do this yourself? Most likely I'm going to just have my friend who used to work at a body shop help me with it, but I just want some opinions on how hard it is to do, and how long it would take a pro to do it. Once I'm done with this I'll hopefully be drivin' her again! (Haven't really done it since the accident in November!)

I would definitely have ur friend help you out, the radiator support ties your whole front end together, if it's not welded on right, it will throw the alignment off on the grill, headlights, hood, fender and bumper cover. A friend of mine was gonna do mine for me, but I decided against it and will have a shop do it as soon as im able to afford it.

So how long will it take for a professional to do it? We're gonna start today but we only have a few hours.

i welded in the radiator support in my 92 camaro but i did it at the technical high school i'm in. just make sure you find places to measure from one corner to the other..its easiest to use bolt holes. make sure its the same on both side if its not the frame is tweaked...good luck

i don't know how much it will cost but if you have a drill and a welder its not hard to do...just drill out all the spot welds and weld in the new one...only took me about an hour at the most

ouch... as long as everything measures out all right i'd drill it out and do it myself...and what does that $500 include? just welding in the new support or cutting out the old one too?

yeah, that's what I said That price includes complete disassembly of front end including fenders and hood, removal of old support, installation of new support, re-installation of front end and lining up all panels.
