i never said that the h22 doesn't have boost potential, i said that the h22 doesn't have reliable boost potential. the forged low CR piston heads and rings that you're gonna need to run serious boost on an h22 don't play well with the composite sleeves in the cylinders of the h22 block. this is the acilles heel of the h22. the f22 on the other hand has cast iron sleeves which play well with about any piston head you can throw in there.

the h22 you mentioned runs 265hp. that's probably about 7-8psi. which is about average for any turbo app and about the limit that an h22 can safely boost.

the bottom line is that with an h22 you can only get so much reliable power, but with the f22, pound for pound, you can get more reliable power out of it in a boost application than you can with an h22.

that is unless you have the money to burn to get a h22 resleeved. but not many people have that kind of cash laying around.

I think i'd still rather have the H22A.

After owning a F22 for so long I'm ready for something different.. I've destroyed 4 F22A1's with nitrous over a 3 year period (i never do anything about fuel systems.. heh they lean out).

I think I'm done swapping broken F22A1's... might as well move up to broken H22A's

Another one bites the dust.

or you could've spent the first $250 on upgrading your fuel system and saved another $750 on engines.
