Accord for Prelude

I agree, try to obtain a 98' or above 5th. Gen. Honda Prelude. The 97' model year was the first year and it did have some problems with the tranny.
I believe there's an SE edition Prelude only available from Canada that has leather interior, Type SH rims, painted side, rear, & front moldings, and spoiler but does not have the ATTS (Type SH) system. Something you should look into.

the tranny problem is with all of them (5th gear shift fork), and there's an ongoing auto tranny issue with all of them.
there's the balancer shaft seal problem with all of them, icluding a lot of 4th gens.
i did this to make sure my 97 was up to date. 4th and 5th gen models dont have many issues since the chassis has been in use by the accord since 1990, and the motor was well worked out by 1997.

Used to have an accord, sold it for my lude. No regrets at all. Lude is so much more fun to drive, but accord offers you comfort and space. So, it's really up to you, do you want a practical car or a car that's fun to drive
