i never did better than 17.2 on my 96 auto ex with cai. ran a 18.3 with i/h/e at 3500ft. then i stop wasting money racing it

:edit: it was about 95deg and sunny out (pomona raceway) for the 17.2

 

wont do anything. u dont come close to 4th on the 1/4. i got the fastest times by shifting a little into redline.

 

my best run with 95 EX 4dr auto was 16.49. that was with AEM CAI, DC header, custom 2.25 exhaust, and Aem pulleys. the temp was probably ~75 degrees and the elevation is 90ft above sea level. i also power braked it and shifted manually. i was also running stock 15s with 205 55 15 rubber.

i consistently ran 16.5-16.6.

given the high temps, i would say 16.9 and worse with bigger wheels.

 

I come close. By then end of the race, I am always about to get to redline on third. But thats probably due to a higher trap speed.

 

really?? i used to drive my roomate's 96 av6 around alot, but its not *that* muchfaster. my 3rd gear in my 4cyl acc. tops out at 105. from what i remember, the v6 and i4 gearing were pretty similar. i would guess my trap speed wasbut 84-86mph

 

That seems strange to me too. I know my friends 6th gen AV6 is nowhere near the end of 3rd by the end of the race either.
