No ticket, the kid's dad said he would take care of it...but I'm gonna call his ins co once I get a copy of the police report. Also, you can't tell from the picture but the top of the door doesn't close all the way. So now I got a 1999 Hooptie with a custom ****ing trash bag trim. And were getting bout an inch of rain down here in ATL. :-)

Well once I get the police report and start jabbering at his ins co, I'm gonna get some estimates. There's 3 body shops by my work that have their work on covers of mag's, Chevelle's, Camaro's, Mustang's, etc... I'll have those guys work up some quotes and then negotiate with his ins.

Yeah man, that sucks. I had an 18-wheeler decide he needed my lane last week & the leave the scene. My insurance company was notified wed & they said an adjuster would be out to look @ it the next day. Well, it's been a week & they just came out today. They then tell me that they'll get back to me one day next week. It's gonna go under uninsured motorist, but the body shop said to expect it to take 4-5 days to fix, so I wont have my car repaired for at least another 2 weeks. :wtf:

Here's a copy of the thread I started where you can check the pics of mine if you'd like.

I feel your pain man. :wtc:

I got hit by an 18-wheeler last night quote:

Hey guys ( & girls!!!). I had an 18-wheeler decide he wanted my piece of the interstate last night. I hit the brakes HARD & made a fast turn to the left, but it was too late - the backend slid around & I impacted his tire & trailer @ about 85 or 90. The force knocked me to the left emergency lane & it was all I could do to keep it from flipping on me. By the time I got stopped & caught my bearings, he was long gone. Thank God for uninsured motorist & that week I spent @ Bob Bondurant Driving School!!!

Hey 6GenX, Honda Carland has an amazing Body Shop. Ask for a guy named Kevin Brown. He did work on my Accord and it was absolutely amazing. It is going to be more than most body shops, but if insurance is paying for it then I would definetely take it to him.
