DC sport, A'PEXi WS catback - dyno #s inside
I just installed a DC sport cermamic coated header, A'PEXi WS catback, and gutted the factory cat this weekend. I went from a complete factory exhaust to this setup in a matter of 2hours. I really like the way the car sounds now. It is not much louder than stock driving around and it's very quiet at WOT. This is how an import should sound.
I pulled the car off the lift and strapped it to the dyno to see what I picked up. Here were the results:

I picked up 13hp in some spots in the midrange! You can definitely feel the difference on the street.
I then sprayed a 65 shot to see how it liked the new exhaust. I previously dynoed 154/188 with the stock exh/65shot. With just the exhaust changes, it pulled 172/205!
Nitrous loves a free-flowing exhaust.
I'll post that graph tomorrow. The car was running pig rich on the spray, which is safe, but not conducive for making the most power. So, I swapped in the 75n20 jet, and left the fuel jet alone. Peak #s didn't change much, but I picked up 10hp/tq in the midrange. Final#s were 172/210. Here is the dyno graph:

All in all, I'm very pleased! I'm through modding the F22A (except for larger doses of nitrous)
An H22A motor will be here in about a month, so I'll give the old F22A hell until then. 160k miles and still going strong.....

Um, if you're doing a H22 swap in about a month, why did you install these parts? Were they on a loan or are you selling them after a month? It kind of seems illogical to do a swap after a month for spending $500+ in mods for your current engine.

The catback will work fine with the H22A swap. I will upgrade to the Prelude DC sport header when I install the motor. (I heard the pipe diameter on the header was slightly larger; if it isn't, I'll stick with my current header). It's only money.
Plus, I wanted to see what the F22 would do with a complete exhaust system, header to catback. As I said, I was pleased with the results.

I don't know if the F22's header will bolt to an H22 but it will to an H23. The H23's aftermarket headers have a slightly larger collector which helps the engine operate better at higher RPM's.

if the h23/h22 header was interchangeable then the greddy 92-96 lude VTEC header would be listed to fit the h23, but it's not.
