When I'm done putting my new wagon parts on this car again I need to get a decent paint job. How much do those generally go for, and where should I go? And how crappy is Maaco...? Is it worth going there? I just want it to look pretty decent for not too much money... Preferably a different color than the current one.

 

Maaco sucks do not go there. You get what you pay for with a lot of paint places. I reccomend that if you bring it to a place like Maaco or something, that you prep it, wetsand it, buff it, etc. yourself.

 

you really need to ask around locally to find the best shops. talk to local performance shops etc and ask who they reccommend.

 

DO NOT TAKE IT TO MAACO!......all they do is paint....they dont do a whoel lot of ne thing except just paint over the old stuff....

$1000-$3000 for a nice paint job

most of the time you pay alot for prep work, sanding, dent removal, door jambs...etc.

 

Thanks for the clearification, Mike (Nd4Speed)... Heh... Yeah, I was looking to spend around a grand, maybe a little more... I don't want it to look shitty though... ANd there are no dents in the body since most of it is brand new, lol... Oh, and it looks like I'm gonna end up keeping the same color, cause apparently it's a LOT more to do a different one, usually.
