Kimchicoi629,

When you turn your car on after the spray, without putting the intake back on...wouldn't the car give you a "check engine" light since it will recognize that is it not getting the air it needs?. Maybe I'm wrong...please help.

I have 162,000 on my '98 Accord and my pedal is starting to stick...especially if I take off with the car being cold.

Its pretty straight forward if you pick up a can of thorttle body cleaner it should have good enough directions. seafoam is the shit, u can get the bottle where you stick the vacuum line that comes from the Master Cylinder in the bottle and let it suck out from the bottle, or you can get the aerosol can and spray it down the throttle body. its cool seeing all the carbon deposits and blowby deposits come smoking out your exhaust.

Hmm.. sounds like something I should do here soon. I've got 125,000 miles and I'm positive it's never been done. Sounds easy enough to do, but I'm a little skeptical about running the car without the the intake on and it getting unfiltered air into the engine, just doesn't sound too healthy for your car.

buy the can, and just do it. it should take you no more than 10 minutes to do. the only thing you should need is a screwdriver to take off you intake right where the intake manifold is, and spray away. weather you do it with the car on or off doesn't matter. you won't blow your car up.

the part that i am not sure about is taking off the PVC valve you where you spray in the SEAFOAM which hose is that, is it the one connected to the Intake? Also there was talk about putting to much and hydrolocking. There was another post about take the sparkplugs out and spraying 10cc's (1 teaspoon) of seafoam. Does this do the same as spraying seafrom into the PVC hose?
I wanted to know more before I do it i am more of a visual person rather than reading, I been on Sea foams webpage they got instructions
http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm
If I would like to see pix to be sure i am spraying into the right hose
