Default 02 AT Engine Hesitation

Hey guys & gals,

First post here so let me say Hi

I bought my 02 Accord SE Coupe about 2 months ago with 20k mi on it.

When I'm driving, there is a hesitation between 3-4k RPM in first & second gear (Auto)

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

I am not too sure but is it when it is shifting? Driving conditions would help. I think that may be the vtec crossover not too sure though.

I notice it most when I'm really in the gas and can feel the hesitation. Driving conditions vary but it's always there...

There is a service bulletin out for that year auto transmission. If you are experiencing this during shifting or you notice the green D indicator near the gauges flashing you may want to bring it in and have it checked.

How do you go about finding the service bulletins?

It doesn't do it during shifting as it's about 4000rpm and it's only noticeable when you're really in the gas.....

I think I've only noticed it when really giving it gas when the engine still hasn't warmed up shortly after starting the car. It never happens when the car has warmed up. Dunno If it was around 3-4k.

I have this too. Really noticable when the tranny fluid is not all warmed up and not as noticable when it is warmed up but still annoying.
