Default Performance Brakes

Hi, my name's nick. I have 1994 Accord LX with abs and 4 disc brakes. I'm going to be getting into sport driving (e.g. AutoXing) and need some brake upgrades. i don't wanna spend alot, but i need to get as much of a budget performance i can. What are some things i can do to improve my brakes?

thanks

well, stock-sized rotors are just that. they don't do well under racing conditions. you could try upgrading the pads but racing pads usually need to be warmed up before they perform. depends on how serious you want to get into racing and whether or not you wish to keep the car streetable.

the brembos were expensive.

just go w/ brembo blanks or oem if you're sticking to stock size. x-drilling won't help with our CD-sized stock rotors.

SSBrake lines. brembo slotted rotors, EBC greenstuff pads. I am going to be doing some autox and this is the setup that was told too me that would be good for daily driving and autoxing

Check my sig for my configuration. All that cost like $311.40, installed w/ some help from a guy @ my g-friend's dad's shop, extra $30 tip.

Oh, and I also have speedbleeders and Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid.

you can use wagon/V6 rotors and larger calipers (any 2.25" or ~56-57mm calipers) w/ the correct bracket, or legend/NSX 2 piston calipers. You can look to have custom larger rotors and brackets made along w/ bigger calipers. Get better pads.

if the 5-lug swap some of the HT guys goes thru, the ~12" rotors off CL-S/TL-S and odyssey's are also an option.
