Default Help! Need tech. advice.

Ok well installed my Teins and the ride is such a huge improvement. Now the only thing is that there is a light knocking sound when i accelerate only when i go above 25mph and it knocks faster, the faster i go. THe sound goes away when i push in the clutch. Have about 45k on my 6th gen. The CV boot is intact no lubricant or punctures on either one. Could i have screwed something up in the cv boot that i can't see from inspection? Or could i possible need a valve adjustment? PLease give me some advice guys. Thanks

If nothing is rubbing and you have clearance. And your on a flat surface and the sound is when your accelerating only. Then it can be your engine. Where is the knocking coming from?

Hey Elite yeah nothing is rubbing plenty of clearance. It sounds like it's coming the bottom front of the car, in the area below the gas pedal but to the right if that makes sense.

Sounds like your axel or transmission. Do you have enough tranny fluid?

I got enough tranny fluid but then again hadn't had it serviced for 20k miles (had oil changes regularly). Thanks for the input.

I would change tranny fluid every 12,000 miles. It isn't hard and it isn't expensive.

I forgot to change tranny fluid for 18,000 miles and not only was it dirty but it was thick.:ugh:
