It could be the fan switch, I forgot how to do it, but there is a way where you can test to see if your fans turn on. if they turn on, then the fans are fine and the switch is bad. We have two switches ... on my car, the low-temp fan switch went bad .. and my car would start to heat up while I was in traffic.

Is it normal for the fan in accords to stay on for a minute or two after you turn the car off? Everytime someone walks by my car they think I left it on or something. I've seen other accords do this but never any other kind....

I've seen both my accord and my friends do this.....usually only on the hottest days during the summer though.....

Wow..Thanks guys, I have lot of information now and I will check everything on my car. One thing is that I think caused it is. About a year ago I bought those stupid little hood lights h: well, this summer I dident really like them and I had some holes in my car from the air suspension awile back so I took it to a shop where I had them put in a switch for them so I can turn them on and off. I thought I would just leave them on there tell I get my fender lights and wire the wires to the fenders lights. But the other day I just flashed them for fun and I got out of my car. Did my alarm walked away 5 secs. later my alarm goes off.ok..wont stop doing that so I take the fuse out and put it back in. Then my A/C stopped working and the motor started to heat up. So I checked the fuse's and they were fine!

ahh..I will deal with it later...

Yes,.. it's not only normal with Accords,... but with alot of other cars also. I had an Integ and a couple of Civics, and they all did the same thing.

When your engine overheats like that turn on your heater full blast. You might be hot but better then your engine.

Sounds like your temperature sensor or thermostat. Your temp sensor should of turned on your radiator fans when it gets to a certain temperature.

hi guys hope your still looking at this fourm. My cooling fan only comes on when my car is off. When my car is on and I am idleing the temp with go up slowly. so I just changed my thermostat.

When I took out my old thermostat it was stuck on close so I know that it was bad. but my cooling fan doesnt come on with my ignition on. Could it be my cooling fan sensor located where my thermostat is? PLEASE HELP!!!
