From the way you are talking about the accident my guess is it would cost anywhere from $3000-$4000 tops. Show me some pics and I'll be able to give you a better idea. I work in a claims center, and see stuff like this all the time. Pretty much the only way they will total it is if the damage is about 75% of what the car is worth. I once saw this claim where someone with a BMW 7series got into a nasty accident. $20,000 in damage, and because they go for about $80,000 they fixed it. In there view it was more cost effective. Insurance companies are just out for themselves.:fawk:

If its cracked, then it should should be totaled. That sucks man. When I had my 89 Ledgend about 3 years ago, I had 230,000 miles on it and I got into an accident and they totaled it on me. It was in close to mint condition. If you can believe it they gave me $5000 for it. I thought they were joking when they told me on the phone. A nice down payment for my accord.
im getting it estimated tmw......i just found a large bump in the carpeting behind my drivers seat i beleive its the frame bent up wards......not good
and also on that picture of the frame i think it may be some kind of undercoating and not the frame..... im not sure though

almost a year ago i got rearended at a complete stop by a guy in a big tahoe in my little red cl...it did about $3500 worth of damage to my car which really sucked. everything got fixed ok but you might wanna get your body checked out. i have serious back problems and swelling and shit now...a whole year later with 4 months of physical therapy and all....but at least my car is ok...

I would consider that total loss.
