yes.... it has nothing to do with the bulbs.... our 2001 Camry has DRL's and i have hyperwhite bulbs in there... they work just as before.....

if you really want DRL's, just buy a DRL kit... they arent expensive.

Day time running lights = turn on your headlights during the day while driving. What's so hard about that?

Even better, if you leave the headlights on all the time, after you turn off the car, the lights will go off after a while automatically.

omg, what's w/ all these DRL threads lately.
i've said it a bunch of times, i'll say it again, i'm glad gay ass DRLs aren't required in the US.

I hate DRLs (unless it's the ones that use parking lights, like the C5s). I see a lot of late model Saturn drivers forget to turn on their lights at night because they think DRL are the regular headlights!

Like so many 'safety' advancements, DRL's have their own downside.

1. When you get so used to looking for the lights, the cars that don't have them become almost invisible.

2. They make it easier for cops to see you.

But I fail to see how DRLs make a car look gay-assed. Maybe you were talking about all that Altezza crap?
