My speedo is doing the same thing....it works about half the time when i'm driving. Every other gauge works fine, but twice i've noticed my trip odometer staying at 0......

Where is the speed sensor in a 5th gen?

My speedo was the problem, swapped in one from an acura cl, works great now and the gauge faces look better too.

u guys see ur odometers stay on zero and u complain LOL. Nothing wrong with not getting any miles registered.

If u know where ur vss is than try running new wires from there to the cluster and see if its in the wiring. Of course don't trie to make it neat just run them through ur window temporarily.
