2008 Accord Keyless entry died
I’m new to this forum and need some help. I live a ways form the closest Honda dealer so I’m hoping there’s a way to solve this without taking it in. After owning our 2008 Accord for 6 months our keyless entry started working poorly until it wouldn’t unlock or lock the car but would work on the trunk. I replaced the battery with the same results. We switched to the other key which worked fine for a while and like the other died but would open the trunk. It’s like the frequency for the door locks failed but the trunk didn’t. Is there a way to re-program these?
i think your system still works as far as frequency problems. what might not be working are your buttons for the doors from your remote.
does your power doors works when you use the master switch when your inside the car? if it does, i bet my money on changing your remote. If it does not, then you have a problem in the powerdoor circuit, blown fuse, bad switch. etc.
hope it helps

It’s the buttons, I didn’t notice that there was a red light on the remote that when the signal is sent lights up (it's my wifes car and I rarely drive it). I took both remotes a-part thinking if I blew the switches out with air they may work. I had no luck but if I push the buttons down and to the side they work most of the time. I guess I will be getting two new remotes.
Thanks for the help cruzalekz.
