Well if you are going to go to the hassle of pulling the box apart you may as well do the upgrades as well....they kind of go hand in hand since you have already voided the warranty the second you break the seal on it.

Well putting an XboX into a vehicle in itself isn't that tough at all...hell anyone can do it, however, to what etent is it being done?

If you are just mounting the entire box into the trunk or the glove box, or even setting it on the floor then its not hard at all and kinda unimpressive.

Now you start tearing into it and placing the components all over the car with things like control ports in both the front and rear of the car, DVD drive in the dash with an aftermarket DVD drive running on the stock setup, or any number of things in that manner than you get inot the range of impressive installs

well i don't think it's going to be all that hard. They only thing different it extending the cables. probably get a extra long IDE cable for the drive and prob making your own cables for the controler ports. other then that the rest just goes in hiding. i want to do it, but no lcd yet. If anyone likes the idea, go for it. it would be really really sweet. I already have a modded xbox so no need for me to do all those other things.

Not exactly true my friend.

Not sure if you ever looked at the power port on the DVD Rom drive but it is like an 8 wire setup (can't remember right now) as opposed to the standard 4 wire setup. So hooking up the wires so that the eject controls work etc. is a little different.

The controller ports are easy though since all it takes is a little bit of extra wire, some solder, and some good shrink wrap to protect the wires.

As for hiding it...well we have removed the MoBo and power supply from the case and mounted it under the glovebox so that we have full use of the glovebox and no one will ever know where the XboX is actually located...or even that its there for that matter.

i don' think that power cable thing is a problem, some butt conectors and some wire should fix everything.
yea jacking the xbox is a bitch. cuz you don't know where every part is. HAHA. anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Common people make civics looks like accords and accord look like integs. If you have a dream, you'll have a chance.

if not butt connectors solder and some heat shrink. It's only 8 wires. Not all that much. I don't know how the controller ports work. I know they come in pairs. But i think it's possible
