Default h22a in 99 lx

I just want to know what you guys think about this swap. I have a 99 accord coupe that has all the outside done. BUT IT IS SLOWWWWW! I want to get the h22a in it and switch it to a manual from automatic. My questions are:

1 How much can u get the h22a for?
2 what about the price to switch it to manual?
3 What kind of 0-60 times can i get with this?

-Thanks guys!

ok stop right there. the tranny mount won't line up. therefore the motor isn't an easy swap. a couple shops are rumored to be making custom brackets, but i only heard of ppl making their own.

1. depends on which year for the cost, average $1500-3000; but by law you must get a '99-01 Prelude motor&tranny.
2. lowest price i've seen for tranny swap labor alone is $500, parts for floor console & clutch equip varies.
3. 0-60mph = mid 7s, high 14s in 1/4 mile times

a turbo kit will be easier & cheaper. or find a '97-01 Prelude 5spd, best advice i heard is if you wanted the motor, then just buy the right car.

Unless you have a lot on miles on the 99 engine, I would boost instead of swap. You will get more hp for your money.

99 honda accord, why dond u swap the v6 in there, or a v6 from a acura TL,RL. or legend. but all that will cost alot of cake so... u should get some boost.

Not many superchargers, if any, that are readily built for the F23. The only V-6's that have a chance of fitting are the J-Series block engines (J30, J32) from the Accord V-6 (durh) and CL/TL.

there is a mod over at superhonda that had a 6th accord with a h22 and auto-manual swap. he did it al himself.

imo, though you'd be better off selling the car for a lude or something better or going turbo. there is no supercharger for the f22/f23. a j30 or j32 will take way too much work/money since the v6 mounts and wiring are much different than the i4 models.

a 6th gen swap done right is $$, since you'll want to use a 99-01 usdm h22 which will cost you around 3,500-4,000. then labor with a manual swap would be about 1,500 (labor would be higher for a 6th gen swap). then all your 5sp parts, bolt-ons, and maintenance items could be about another 1,500.
