need some expert electrical advice
hey guys...I'm planning to do a HID retrofit into my 94 Accord with european headlights. I want to "manufacture" my own headlight harness with the relay and all that jazz. Can someone explain to me in simple, plain english, how to wire the relays up and so forth? Thanks.
piece of cake
your relay has four pins, one goes to the battery and one goes to ground
now, one of your remaining pins is your signal pin (read, power from the switch, you can probably set it up to work on your stock headlight lead)
the other one is the power from the relay to the new harness. . .
thats very simple from the relay point of view though, you'd need to ask an HID expert how to proceed from the point of having power from the relay. . .
note: all of this applies if you are choosing to use aftermarket relays for your lights, and that means having one for each bulb. . .if you are planning on modifying your stock relays, im not sure exactly how to go about it. . .the power and ground from the stock harness would probably connect right up then. . .
