Default prokit vs sportline

Before you bash me - i did search but didn't find what I needed cause I have a very specific question.

I currently have eibach prokit springs on my 5th gen accord with KYB-AGX dampers. I love the way the prokits ride and perform but I would like something just a bit lower (not slammed!). Has anyone ridden on both prokits and sportlines? Are the sportlines a lot "rougher"? This is on a daily driver and I don't want to sacrifice much comfort.

btw - I'm rollin on 215-45-17 tires

What do you suggest?

i knew of someone that switched from sportlines to pro-kits on his accord. supposedly the pro-kits have a stiffer spring rate, which would probably make them ride a tad firmer. then again sportlines will have less wheel travel, so it may ride worse too. i do believe he like the performance of the pro-kits much better though. have you looked into neuspeed/h&r sports? they are in between pro-kits and sportlines as far as drop and ride slightly stiffer than pro-kits.

i hav Neuspeeds & on OEM shox, after 2 yrs it's still a comfortable ride. a friend has Eibachs on his '99 & he's not happy, but he'll live w/ it becuz it's a lowered ride & alotta trouble just to get new Neuspeeds reinstalled. we both have Accord LX sedans.

sportlines are pretty low compared to pro-kits. if u want a drop thats inbetween the 2, try H&R sports.

prokit 1.3/1.5
h&r sport 1.5/1.75
sportline 1.7/1.8 (i believe, not positive)

i was riding on H&R sports for about a year with no problems on my stock shocks. i'm now on kyb agx and the ride's great.

sportlines are good springs, theyre pretty firm. you'll need to keep you agx's at 3 front, 5 rear. i had them for a year, then they blew my stock shocks.

Will H&R sports ride as well and perform as well as the prokits? Cause it sounds like it would be the perfect drop for me.

What if (puts on flame suite) I cut just 1 dead coil from my prokits? Wouldn't it basically be 1/4 -1/2 inch lower and give the same ride?

Keep in mind that springs and/shocks DO settle a bit...

My prokits on a lower perch has me settled around 1.8~1.9 which is more than a conservative drop IMO. The ride is awesome tho.

Dantastic's setup with the AGX shocks ride really well...prolly the best setup i've ridden with the sportlines.

going from oem to h&r's, the ride was definitely stiffer but not crappy. if i was able to drive a car with prokits, then i'd be able to give you a better response. but i can tell you that i rarely ever bounce around and i handled great while i had my rims on. i'm on stock wheels right now it handles pretty well.

haha... i had the gc's in then w/ 17s on. with 18s, the ride was pretty punishing.

H&r sport spring rate is similar to pro-kit, but they have a lower drop. they ride well with stock shocks.
