Default Just installed my aem cai!!

Just put in my aem cai with couple my buddies. And damn took us almost 3 hrs since we had a couple problems. But we finally got it in and all i got to say is it was totally worth it!!

Dragged with my friends IS300 and my intake was waaaay the hell louder than his SRT intake. Tho he still whooped my ass with his v6.. :madfawk:

Next up to put in my apexi ws exhaust.

Got a question tho. Anyone know if its necessary to replace the vaccum line cap with the cap they provided? Or where exactly the hell you suppose to put that cap?? And what are we suppose to do with the extra tube that dangles from the intake air solenoid? Finally where does the smaller hose go? Pics would be nice. TIA

did a looong extensive search... no specific answer to my question tho. Still not sure exactly where the cap goes and where the extra tube goes..

If anyone has the CAI installed can someone post a pic?? and maybe i can figure it out.

the smaller tube is just used to replace that whole cluster of metal tubing that is still dangling. it is right under the longer tube that you should have used to connect the intake to the valve cover. if you tug on the metal tubing cluster, you will notice that there is only one thing still connected to it.. it goes from tube to metal to tube. just rip that whole cluster out and connect the 2 end with that smaller hose, be carefull because antifreeze will start to leak out.. might as well do a flush while your at it..

oh yea.. about the cap, you dont have to cut anything. if i remember correctly, the rubber tubing just ends back there behind the throttle body so just rip the tubing off and connect the end cap. the rubber tubing used to connect to somewhere on your factory intake, i forget where, but that dosent matter anymore

I think it should be same with AEM Short RAM intake..
Never used the rubber cap.. and instead I added one $0.90 vaccum hose... (1991 Honda Accord EX F22A4)

Ok took some pics of my install...

Heres the piping. Is this where all the tube go? And i think that foam filter is in the wrong place too...

Where the vaccum cap goes?

And finally theres an extra tube on the selenoid just hangin. What are you suppose to do with that pipe? And the second tube on the right is the tube that connects to where the vacuum cap is suppose to be connected rite? So what you do with this tube if you put the cap there?

Some guidance would be appreciated. TIA
