Default Bleeding a clutch?

Can anyone tell me the correct way to do this? I need to replace my master cylinder but I do not know the correct way to bleed the clutch after I install my new cylinder. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks

You need a helper... it is just like bleeding the brakes. Have your friend open and close the slave cylinder bleed nut as you cycle the clutch pedal (in the proper sequence).

On my Integra, I have to loop a string around the pedal to pull it back up. Otherwise it just stays down on the floor since the pressure plate springs aren't pushing it back up. Otherwise, yes its the same as bleeding the brakes.

Some people like to back-bleed the clutch. Get something like a MityVac to pump brake fluid INTO the slave bleeder screw. Then you're pushing the air bubbles 'uphill' towards the MC. The fluid & bubbles will go into the reservoir, so you have to empty it with a turkey baster or something... so it doesn't overflow all over the place.
