post more pics when it gets painted and yeah get some POS rims to put on for the painting.. i was lucky they put my car up on stands when they painted my ride since i didnt have another set of rims to swap out for

how much did they charged you, I planned to do it my own, but the paint alone will cost me about 300-400 bucks................damn them expensive PPG paint

how much labour can you save by sanding down the paint on ur own? a grand? also did you sand down only the clear coat? i kinda wanna do it on my own if it is going to save me a grand

if you have no chips or dents then you should be able to just sand down the clear coat enough to give it a texture for the new paint and primer to adhere to.

antenna is being shaved,the line around each door handle is going bye bye, the trunk key hole is going bye bye and also the line around the tag area. I think I have alos decided on the Lexus IS300 graphite color. Here are some more pics so far.


the antenna decision was made after this pic

its comin along good
so it looks like you are wet-sanding it(i see drip marks), how extactly do you do that?

the door handles are gonna look crazy
i don't know what you plan on doing about an antenna, but if you get a back window from a 96 or 97, its built in to the window(which i'm sure 5th gen owners know), but that's a lot of work to do

also you could shave the gas door and relocate the filler to the trunk next to the tail light, i saw that done in an issue of Euro Lowrider but thats crazy work

Looks like it's going to look sick, but take those rims off quick so you don't permanently damage such nice rims.
