I speak for my old car that my brother now has. I got a Finlandia one touch power moonroof (tilt) installed for under $600. It creaks occaisonally, but a piece of folded paper placed in the front of it stops it. It has never leaked and has been very nice. Money very well spent

I can't remember for the life of me where I got it...it was some shop here in Syracuse. My memory blows
Perhaps its based on ignorance, but then, I can't know of the outcome of every aftermarket installation ever done. However, in my experience everyone that I've known that's had it done has had problems. Like I said previously, considering the potential problems, I can think of a lot of better things to spend $1000 on.

I may be totally off base, but I've known a LOT of people with aftermarket installed sun roofs. I've never known any that have not had leaks, structural problems or other damage caused by water or poor installation. Personally, I could think of a lot of other things to spend $1000 on.

I wouldn't spend $1000, but I spent like $550 and was very, very happy.

I had two options when I bought my old car: I could get the '99 LX-V6 at about 50 bucks over invoice or I could get the 2000 EX-V6 at like 500 over invoice. That was like a $3500 difference. The choice was not too difficult, since all i wanted was the 6CD changer and the moonroof. Pretty stupid to say you should get one with an OEM roof...you know how Honda's system works, they don't do options.

My moonroof has never leaked to this day, which has been like 3 years. How can you say every aftermarket moonroof leaks?
