Default '00 Accord...projectors for HID?

I have searched throughout this forum on the topic of projectors for HID kits. I understand that if I get an HID kit and install it in my factory headlamp housing, the beam pattern will be horrible and I will most likely blind other drivers. What is an affordable, yet mostly efficient way of fixing this problem? I know that there are a ton of aftermarket headlamps with projectors in them, but are there any that have better beam patterns than the others? I am very confused and I don't want to spend over $400 for projector assemblies. Help!

Thanks!

i dunno about what u just said. From what ive heard, projectors usually make the beam pattern worse than stock headlight housings. Thats what ive heard from everybody that has them. Several members have HID on stock headlight housing and i think its awesome. You can try aiming the headlights a little bit lower to not blind everyone too. If you look at lots of new cars such as CL-S, TL-S, LEXuS, etc, their HIDs come in stock headlight housing, that the regular non-hid models are also available in. So i dont know about projectors being all that beneficial.

Generally the aftermarket projector housings really suck, and I mean really. You'd be better off just putting his in the stock housing.

Here's 4300k hid in stock housings, these are OEM 6th gen housings with a hyper white fog bulb to kind of match the HID

here's the same setup with the saturation cranked up so you can see the light above the cutoff, there is a little but it's not bad

here's the exact same bulbs in aftermarket black housings, much much more yellow, horrid focal point and light all over the place. Also in this pic I have my stock H11 bulbs in the fogs, YELLOW...

this is what I'm putting the HID in now

this is aftermarket black housing being a donor for the 90mm projector, cut the low beam reflector, now I'm just having problems thinking of a way to make it look good when I put it together, but I think I have that problem solved

this is a pic, or philips D2S in the projectors I have, but this isn't mine, I'm not done yet, but I have all identical parts, down to the philips ultinons he used

here's the link to that guys page, he took the crap aftermarket projectors and retrofitted the hella 90mm projector for the wicked beam pattern.

Wow...do you have any pics of them with HIDs? I am very interested in this. I sent you a PM on SuperHonda and I didn't realize that you were a member of this forum, also. Please PM me with more details on price, etc and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks guys for replying! I'm learning more and more about these things everyday...
