For $60 and an hour's wait, why bother doing it yourself?

One shop I went to said they'd install a bolt on system for $75!!! WTF? I could have done it myself, but the exhaust didn't fit the car correctly, and needed cutting and welding, and that kinda stuff.

well if it doesn't fit then you put ur stock exhaust back on and then go pay someone to put it on. not like ur hurting anything by taking it apart. atleast you will learn a little more about your car. j/ give it a shot

i had my exhaust installed the other day by a shop. I bought a ls exhaust and needed to get it extended to fit my 98 gsr. They charged me 65 to cut, weld in a peice of piping, and install the exhaust. I think it was a good deal.

Thats exactly what I ended up doing. After I took the stock one off, and found out the cat-back system wouldn't fit, I but the stock back on, but learned more about my car.

I don't know how much it'll cost just to bolt one on, but just to give you an idea, Im getting 2 1/4" custom bent mandrel tubing bent at a local shop and they are gonna install my Hayame muffler for $100 out the door.

yea, try yourself, very good experience... get a couple of friends who knows how to work with cars, and buy them a couple of beers(of course this is after the install, unless their just amazing at workin at cars LOL)... and do it urself, save urself some $$, u really get to kno ur car better, and it pretty basic, hardest thing is just takin bolts off the cat, and getting the hangers on... my friend did put on the WS on his 1998 accord 4 dr, he paid i think $50 from his mechanic, but no offense he didnt even do that good of a job, some fitting issues and weird noise, i think me and my friend did even a better job, more careful, cuz i had no issues after the install, just took awhile, thats all, 2 hrs.
