Default LX drum to EX disc

I don't exactly like having drums for brakes on my car (who would?). I was just wondering if I could take the real wheel disc brakes from an EX accord and install them on my LX. Would this be a mere bolt on, are they compatible? If I were to find some at a salvage yard, what all would I need besides the obvious?

I dont mind having rear drum brakes. most the stoping power in a Honda is in the front anyways. IMO I would work on upgrading the front brakes 1st. Then, MAYBE, if it was even worth all the BS trouble I would think about converting the rear to disk. It is a pain in the ass. it's not just a bolt on job. But you could just upgrade them too without the conversion.

But like I said, most of Honda's and other FWD cars stoping power is in the front.

Good Luck

yes, ex models have disc brakes on the rear as well.

More than stopping power, i think drum brakes look like SH*T. they look so damn ugly and esp if you have rims on ur car, disk rotors will make a world of difference in appearance. As far as the functionality, not worth the hassle. But lookswise, makes ur car look a lot better.

To convert brakes, you're talking wheel bearings and that's a big job. You'd essentially be converting 80% of your entire rear end. That's alot of work and money for what you get in return. Take that money and put it towards a house.

lol, yeah I'd say i'm mainly going for looks, cuz drums behind nice rims looks pretty crappy. Seeing as how I don't have rims yet, it's not that big of deal yet, but I was just trying to expand my knowledge,

How about instead of doing the conversion, you just paint them? :exnbp: h:
