I wish I had a damn EX, those rear drums took away from the look of the car when I got the rims. Oh well, from far, the black drums almost disappear.

ATTENTION !! :

This IS a simple bolt-on job, I know because I did it on my '90. Maybe it is different for the newer cars but it was a genuine piece of cake for me. Just simply swap out the whole control-arm/hub assembly. I have all the details and pics if you're interested. I also did it 90% for looks, but it does help the brakes fade a little less... Oh, it cost me about $600

But no way to change a 6th gen Accord drum to disc? I always wondered if there was a conversion kit for this...

I have a 97 Accord LX and I've done the swap. I got the entire rear suspension from a junkyard for about $200. Instead of getting piece by piece and putting it together, just have them unbolt the entire trailing arms with the hubs, discs, brake lines, etc with all the parts still attached. You'll also need the parking brake cables from an Accord EX...Coupes and 4 doors have the same length. Everything will bolt right up. The only thing you'll have to remove is the ABS sensor since your LX isn't equipped with ABS. The only hard part was taking out the entire exhaust and heatshields to install the new parking brake cables. Simple as that. Good luck.

My old sold 91 Accord EX had disc / drum and current 93 Accord has disc/disc with ABS setup..

In real life.. my 91 Accord EX had more stopping power! Wow!
So IMO.. for looks.. coversion is OK.. for stopping power coversion is No.. Unless you can install ABS.....

not really... a press is nice, but not essential.. all you really need is a block of wood and a BFH(big fucking hammer) to put the bearings in. the hub isn't that hard to pull apart.
