I don't think it is as long as you keep the bulb itself orange. I could be wrong, and it might vary from state to state. I'm not sure what the laws are in Uranus.

I didn't think cops would be too much of a problem about it... its not even that noticable if you're not looking for it

Then again, if you live near me, where the cops are anal enough to give you a parking ticket for your car being parked facing the wrong direction in a residential development :madfawk: , I guess they wouldn't hesitate to make a stink over something like this.

i live in LA and for some odd reason, ive never been pulled over for my illegal parts of the car. The illegal parts include cleared and blacked out headlight housing, hyperwhite turn signals, 5% visibility tint, and no front license plate. One time, i pulled up right next to a cop on a red light with my windows up and they didnt do anything. I guess its because in LA, cops have more severe things to deal with, such as gangs and murder, drug dealings, etc, than to mess with innocent ppl that are into cars as their hobbies. Well...thats good for me.

Yes its illegal to remove it. However due to cops focusing more on homeland security and terrorism. That chances of getting pulled over now is even less then before. However that doesn't mean you can speed, have blue or other color light and drive reckless cause they can still pull you over.

u can take out the orange strip in the front and still leave the reflector piece in and have it legal, to be legal it needs an amber reflector in the front and a red reflector in the back facing sideways and front and back!

cops dont usually notice any of these, most inspection places dont even notice!
