Hey, does anyone know if i can bolt the prelude shift linkage up to the 5th gen? I thought that the H22 tranny could bolt up to the F22 so I was curious about the linkage. Failing that, maybe someone could tell me how much the tranny AND the linkage would go for?

Just curious, Accordsleeper had the Lude shifter and it was badass. . .

 

The lude linkage will work, i think it is a little long though i think. that's what i got in my car. i do not believe the linkage will make a difference in shifting, but will connect to the lude shifter easier. the linkage itself is worth about $100-150 used since civic owners need it for h22 swaps it has driven up the price and obviuosly availabilty isn't really there. luckily mine was free, the shop had it laying around from a swap from HMO. i don't think a h22 tranny would be a wise choice for your car. 80mph at 4k in 5th doesn't sound like a great idea. the h23 tranny is still short, but not quite as bad. it still may be too short for lots of highway driving.

if you just want a short shifter, the 4bidden one seems to be the one to get right now. it is independtly made and so far lude and accord guys are liking it alot. i think he posts here, try a search. he is also on honda-tech, preludeonline.com, and board.hondasociety.com to find some reviews.

 

I can make a short shifter for my 5th gen Accord...Yes it involves using the 92-96 Prelude Shifter.
